4 Tips That Will Help Every Real Estate Entrepreneur

Whether you are just starting off as a real estate entrepreneur or are not attaining the success that you desire as one, it’s time to either take a step back to look at where you’ve gone or could go wrong by looking at the following tips.

So, here are 4 tips that will help just about every real estate entrepreneur:

#1: Spend time with like-minded people
Being creative in real estate means doing it the way that most people don’t do it. Discussing your plans with most people will result in them telling you that it won’t work. Avoid these naysayers. Instead look for a real estate association or a mastermind (you’d have to read Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich for this) and spend time with them so as to check as to whether your plan or ideas will work in reality or not.

#2: Have a team in place
It’s a must to have a team in place before you go about looking for deals. The team members include: attorney, Title or Escrow Co, Insurance Agent, CPA, Mortgage broker, Contractor, partner and most certainly, a mentor who could give you guidance when you need it most.

#3: Avoid Sellers who aren’t motivated
Most real estate professionals waste time visiting sellers who aren’t motivated, even marginally, to sell their property. It’s a better idea to talk to them over the phone instead to find out whether they are interested or need to sell their property. Make sure you know what questions to ask in order to confirm their interest before visiting them.

#4: Make a Plan and Work Towards it
Wandering around aimlessly isn’t a good way to pursue a career as a real estate entrepreneur. Make a plan to make a certain number of phone calls, hand out a number of business cards, make a number of offers and spend a certain amount on advertising every month. Eventually, the plan will work if you persist long enough.
