I've heard good, I've heard bad. I've also heard that I might have a job! So, what's to like? I'm outdoorsy, I like biking and hiking, and green. I've heard different things about Milwaukee from different people. I'm not sure who's confused or who's right... is it a dirty city? What's the crime like/ Housing? I've heard some things about the south side, and some people said it's pretty bad overall. like living in some poor eastern european city or something with big city US crime. but others have had nice things to say. So, sell me on it, lemme know

Wow. Whoever told you that last bit is full of it... Milwaukee's not perfect, but it's no 3rd world city either.

OMG, verdanti is so right. Geeze, dunno what to even say! Miwaukee is a very green, nice city. Plenty of places to bike, plenty of trails! I love it here. Yeah sure, there are parts of the city that would be best to avoid, but it's no Detroit! Any city has it's problem areas, and I don't think Milwaukee even has it so bad with that as most. Really a beautiful city, you'd have to be blind to think otherwise. Lovely lakefront.
Just don't expect perfect weather all year long, and I think you'll be satisfied. Lots of parks and if you like water and green you'll find both aplenty!

Just got to echo the last two. Lakeshore is a great place to ride bike trails, and there's green along the entire length of the city with well maintained paths. It can get busy closer to downtown, but that's only because it's so nice! I try to get out and ride every day, it's great here.
