My cousin inlaw moved to Walnut Grove I think 2 yrs ago? with her husband... And she says she really hates it? everyone is unfriendly she can't make any friends. shes very sociable she moved from ny where she knew everyone and was out all the time so i dont think its her. She also says tehres nothing to do there. I had a job offer in Birmingham but I don't know if I should take it if its not a good palce for me.

Well I truly am sorry to hear your cousin doesn't like it in our lovely State. I can happily say that while Birmingham is a reasonably sized city and there are folks who aren't as hospitable as others, I've always found people here to be more polite and happy than not, and very friendly. I can't see why how you'd not like it here, and there's plenty to do! Lots of great opportunities for anyone

I lived up north, up near Huntsville, before I moved... I have friends down in Birmingham and they're all quite happy and would generally agree with Marcelle. And, well, a city is a city, it's not as if I liked everyone there, but generally people in stores and on the street were nice enough, I thought. Maybe your cousin is just having some culture shock, moving from New York to a small town in the south? I'm in Chicago now, I kind of miss it!
